The Bearpaw is a part of the Ballantyne Gear Eveook Non-Penetrating Anchorage Connector and is the connector at the front of the Eveook which connects the Eveook to the Ropes. The Bearpaw I is made to be compatible with the 8.5 inch wheels and is made with 2 connector holes for 2 vertical lifelines. 2 connector holes can be particularly useful for rope access work. The Eveook, using the Bearpaw I meets the ANSI Z359.6 standard, when used as a part of the engineered system that is described within the Technical Instruction Manual for Eveook and Systems. With the Bearpaw I, the Eveook system also meets OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502 and OSHA 1910.140, when used as specified in the Instruction Manual.
The Eveook and the Bearpaw were originally designed to support 2 Vertical Lifelines, but since the ANSI Z359.18 Standard on anchorage connectors does not provide guidance for more than 1 connector hole, for fall protection on an anchorage for residential style sloped roofs, the Eveooks come with a Bearpaw (the Bearpaw II) that has only 1 connector hole for a Vertical Lifeline.
